Upcoming fundraiser for the Taylor Family Foundation featuring the new
2010 wall calendar. Included will be individual works by me and
Nancy Slack (glass fuser) as well as collaborative works--mixed media:
glass art attached to colorful paintings. The calendar should be
available no later than mid-November and will be able to be purchased
on the website. We will have the calendar along with all the original
art pieces from the calendar available at teh Pleasant Hill Wine Merchants
Holiday Extravaganza noted above.
Nancy Slack’s glass work is a celebration of light, color and the dichotomy
of the medium's properties. It reflects the beauty of her surroundings,
both in color and geometry. From the blues and greens in water to the
shapes of trees, leaves and earth, each piece is as unique as nature.
Nancy discovered art glass in Portland, Oregon, where she studied with
well-established glass artists and took classes at the internationally-renowned
Bullseye Glass Company; the opportunity for learning increased after a move
to Ontario, Canada, led to extensive periods of study and experimentation.
After more than three years there, she returned to the west and continues to
further her knowledge of the medium through classes and workshops.
Nancy has been working in the medium for seven years. She has an in-home
studio where she creates her kiln-fired glass and teaches others.
Nancy’s work includes functional tableware; decorative sculpture and wall
art. She also enjoys making her own molds and patterns so every piece
is as unique as the glass itself. Contact information: Nancy Slack;

The website is undergoing continued updates as a few pieces of original art
have been framed and I will be displaying the completed pieces soon along with
price changes. Original art pieces may have been sold so I recommend
you call me or send me an email regarding any interest.
