How are your prints made?
Our prints are made through the giclee process (pronounced "zhee-clay") Giclee is a high quality inkjet print created with professional grade machines and fine materials. Both inks and papers are rated as archival quality.
The results of giclee are prints with a very wide color rendition (color gamut) and very rich blacks. Giclee prints are a vibrant, archival product with the highest fidelity to the orignal file it is made from. A giclee is the pinnacle of digital printmaking. It rivals and surpasses photographic and 4 color methods of reproduction.
Archival Properties - Somerset Velvet paper is made from 100% cotton, to give you a sheet made with one of purest sources of cellulose. It is an acid free archival quality paper. It is also buffered with calcium carbonate to combat acid attack that finished prints may encounter from air pollution.
